1st Snow Experience

Storm Uri left thousands of Texans cold- without electricity and water problems for days amidst a Pandemic.

Broken pipes, drinking water boil notices..

Texas was ill-prepared and most of the buildings' plumbing poorly planned built to cope with cold weather.

But there were some fun moments and that was snow play..

It was the 1st snow experience for my 2 Aussie pups - Chronen and Sierra.

Their first hesitant exploration. Chronen enjoyed it a lot. Sierra who is scared of rain needed to be convinced 😁 and then she too started frolicking.

I am more of a card maker than a scrapbooker. But this year I am going to try making layouts.

For now you can say my style is Organic.

For this layout of course I had to whip out the diamond press dies and stamps - puppy love, pet border and even the slimline dies - I think pawsome.

I have even stamped and used alphabet stamps and dies for parts of the title.

#diamondpress

Some of the stamps without dies are fussy-cut.
One of the stamps - "life is ruff" - I masked the ruff word out and added Pawsome stamp in it's place.
Paper Stack used is DCWV - The Pet Stack.
I loved the slimline dies and stamps. A closer look

Since my dogs are red merle and blue merle I tried coloring the stamps that way too.
And since my pups tails are docked 😔 - poor pups
I docked the tail in the stamp too.
Since I wanted one of the stamps also to face the reverse way ie facing the opposite direction I used a juicy ink pad - stamped onto acetate and then laid the paper on it. Thus giving me a mirror image

loved the border dies. perfect for the page.
But it still needed some pop. So I used an adhesive glitter foam pad and cut out an icicle border freehand and added to the top. Also sprinkled some snowflakes (cut out from holographic mirri and white cardstock) throughout. Scribbled some notes and a double-page layout complete.
Thank you for reading.
Hope you enjoy the pics of my 2 little monkeys 💓💓
