Christmas Surfer

Brr... It is cold here. But wouldn't it be so  fun at a warm beach.
Well one of this Sunday's release at DS4J Shop is Christmas Surfer

And here is my card using this image

I colored it using copics but then added  glitter marker over it . It has been sitting on the shelf for so long and I was afraid that it would have dried up on me but thankfully no. It looks really shiny when I look at it but on camera seems so spotty in the light. The images of board wave and words are from Silhouette online store.

Here are some challenges I want to enter this card into

Hair Stylist Ornament

Hello and Happy December!!

Lori here from ScrappinMyStressAway with a very special post.

Today I am saying thanks to two very special people!

First, I am thankful for Pam for featuring my projects on her blog for over 4 years.  I first met Pam on the Cricut Message Board (Gypsy Forum) shortly after the Gypsy was released.  We had challenges each week to use different features on our Gypsy - which really forced us to learn the machine and share what we learned.  I started my blog back then after gaining confidence as a Gypsy Girl.

Not long after that, Sheila and Pam invited some of us to Guest Design on their blogs - what an honor!  I was so nervous back then!!!  Fun Fact - she taught me how to auto post my blog posts!!  This was HUGE for me!!!

Pam is very generous and shares her knowledge and advice when asked.  She also is very supportive and gives us plenty of encouragement and blog love!

As you may know, Pam is moving in a different direction and will no longer feature her Guest Designers on a regular basis.  I am hopeful to pop in every now and then!  I wish Pam the best as she re-focuses her crafty energy in 2014!!

Second, I am thankful for my friend Karyn who makes my hair beautiful.  I made an ornament for her:

I now have a Cameo and am using Gypsy less and less.  I belong to a couple of Silhouette/Cameo groups on FaceBook who share files.  This file has been shared in one group and it is DARLING!!!  Someone designed a snowflake out of scissors!  My friend Karyn makes my hair look way better than I ever do!!!  I wanted to make her an ornanent with this snowflake.

I chose red vinyl because she loves red!

I wanted the snowflake to show up so I tucked a couple of white feathers inside this square glass ornament.  They remind me of angle wings!!

Thank you Pam for showcasing my ornament today!!  I hope you have a wonderful holiday!!

If you are on facebook and want to friend me so I can add you to the group that shared this file, please go to my BLOG for instructions.

Hidden Message Slider Card

post signature
Hi crafters it is Felisa first let me say it was an honor to work on the design team over at the Bugbytes. Sadly this will be my last post but I had so much fun learning for the wonderful design team members.

I was watching a video tonight by Loni and she gave this simple tutorial over the hidden message slider card and you know I love simple right. This is what I came up with for another simple Christmas card to mail out to my family.

This stamp set is from Stampin up and I picked it up a few yrs ago at a garage sale and it is still my favorite.

(Sorry but  I didn't check to see if this posted in time this morning)

Well that is all folks....Again Thanks for allowing me this journey on this wonderful design team

Be Bless

Wish you a Merry Christmas

This is Pam  and today I am a guest designer  on She's a SassyLady.
Today I want to share with you one of the cards I made for Sassy Progressive challenge at Papercraft Planet with the image Santa Pin Up Sassy.

The challenge required white on white with no red ,green or gold. I love the look of blue or punk on white
I used some embossing folders. The reindeer one is from Anna Griffin folder from Christmas collection and the frame ornament one is Darice embossing folder.
I also used some memory box dies. It does not come with lines but I scored then using MS scoreboard. Image is colored using Copics.

Thank you to all of my friends who were on here as my design team and posted. I so enjoyed all your  inspirational projects you posted on here as I am sure did all the readers.
It was a great Journey and I thank you all once again.
Even though DT is disbanded   I am sure they will not be strangers and we can have them here as guest designers now and then :)
Hugs

Christmas Treat boxes.

Hi everyone.  How are things here at The Bug Bytes?  Pam, thanks for having me come visit each month. It's Karon from Karon's Krafty Korner, come to say hi and share a little something with you.

I have two adorable treat boxes to share with you today.  I made a snowman and penguin the other day, you can check these out here on my blog.

I decided they were so cute and easy to make that I had to make another couple from My Scrap Chick and the file Winter Paver Favor Boxes.  I used my Silhouette Cameo, to cut all the pieces.  Father Christmas is almost done, but I will have to share him on my blog another day.

Today, I have Rudolph and the Gingerbread Man to share with you.

I so enjoyed putting these together.  For Rudolph, I inked around all the edges with Tim Holtz Tea Dye distress ink, also rubbing some of his face.

For the Gingerbread Man, I again inked all the edges, this time with a little red ink.  For the cheeks, I used some chalks.  Using a black fine line marker for the smile.

For Rudolph, I finished off his nose with some glossy accents and the heart on the Gingerbread Man with some nice red glitter.

As this is my last post of the year at The Bug Bytes, I wish you all the joys of the season and a very Merry Christmas and see you all in the new year 2014.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy crafting.

Eight Easy Christmas Cards

Good Morning, Sheila here from She's A Sassy Lady. Aren't these cards beautiful. These cards are so simple that you can prepare them and finish them on the run. I cut these cards out on standard A2,  ran them through my Cuttlebug using the new Anna Griffin embossing folder Dancing Holly. I used the leftover scraps to adorn the inside and just made one simple little stamp and the inside was done.

Then I packed up all the little pieces and my adhesives for the outside of the card placing them in little baggies. I took them to work and finished them on my lunch break.

I used my Zip Dry glue to adhere the wreath to the Joy base.

Then I used foam tape and adhered them to the front of the card.

I used Christmas red stickles for the little bow on the wreath.

Here is a close up of the papers. They are from the DCWV Christmas Memories stack and really looked beautiful on the finished card.

In just a half an hour I had 8 cards completed and finished all the cards I am making this year! I then spent the next 2 days addressing envelopes on my break and then stuffed and have even mailed all 65 of my cards out. I am so thankful they are done!
Thank you for joining me today. I hope you enjoyed today's post. Thank you for your sweet - sweet words of encouragement. You comments inspire me to continue sharing with you! Have a blessed day.
