Good morning, Sheila here from She's A Sassy Lady. I am so happy to be able to share with you today on Pam's blog... she is so kind and keeps inviting me back each month. Each week we share so many different cards for all occasions and all seem to be happy and joyous ones which is as it should be. Unfortunately we also need to make sympathy cards for those time in our lives when a loved one goes home to be with our Lord. I have used every sympathy card I have and decided to make a few that would be easy to make yet pretty enough to make you proud to send out.
This is how the finished card looks. As you can see it is very simple.... just one cut on my E2 and I had 9 decorative ovals cut from Elegant Edges at 3.75 inch height. The stamp is from Recollections and I actually borrowed from my friend Anita.
Now wasn't that easy. This video is from beginning to end with lots of small talk in between! I hope you don't mind me sharing my life with you....
Here is a close up of the front of the card.... as you can see I used scraps of patterned paper. I used CTMH Slate Ink Pad for everything I stamped. the With Sympathy is from The Stamps Of Life and the inside sentiment is from CTMH Sympathy set.
This is a close up of the front of the card. Those little Recollections flowers just add the finishing touch to the card.
I stamped the inside and the back with the same gray wool and it was so subtle it worked perfect for this card.
Another close up of the front of the card.... I added a little gem in the center of the cross.
I hope you enjoyed today's post. Please make some sympathy cards for yourself and keep them on hand as no one wants to stop and make them when they are actually needs as your hearts are to heavy.
Thank for for joining us today and for your sweet sweet words of encouragement. Your comments continue to inspire me to share with you. Have a blessed day!
