From a Daughter to her Mother

Hi Everyone,

Lisa from Lisa's Craft Room here to share my project for May. Thanks Pam for having me.
I use to paint when I was a kid, you know the paint by numbers kit and I use to put water in a bowl and use a paint brush and my paints to color in my coloring books sometimes instead of my crayons. I have been wanting to get the water pens from Stampin' Up for a while and finally got them. I love them. It is so much fun to use my inks to paint for a change instead of markers all the time.

I also got this adorable stamp set from Stampin' Up called Greeting Card Kids. It's such an adorable stamp set. My mother is always saying how she wishes we were kids again because that was the best part of her life. So I decided to use this little girl holding the heart to let my mother know how much I Love her. "Sniff, Sniff". :)

As you can see, I stamped her several times, just in case I messed up but I was glad I got it the first time. I didn't know how this paper would react, since it's just white card stock and not the water color paper. I will have to get some of that to see the difference. It didn't run or go through, so that was good.

I used Pink Pirouette for her dress and Pink Passion for the trim and bow. I used Chocolate Chip for her hair and Crumb Cake for her skin. I used Riding Hood Red for the heart. I also stamped the sentiments with Riding Hood Red. The sentiments are called My Little Valentine from Stampin' Up.

Here is a close up up of the darling image. I cut her out and added dimensionals to pop her up. I added a little rhinestone to her bow and dazzling details to the hearts and the XOXO. Lastly, I added stitching around the bigger heart with a white gel pen.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by. See you again soon.
