Utilize Your Scraps To Make Tags

Good day, Sheils here from She's A Sassy Lady, thank you Pam for having me here today. I thought I would share with you what I have been doing as of late... My scraps are accumulating so I have decided to use the scraps up when I make them to make another project. I just made a birthday card for my grandson Justin with the paper that you see, and had a 6x6 scrap sheet left from the card I cut. so I decided to make a couple of tags with the left overs.

Emma from My Creative Time has a few die sets and I actually utilized them as I had already shut off my machine. My Cuttlebug was sitting right behind me so I finally used the tag set I bought and the little flower set. Boy was it easy, in no time at all my pieces were cut and I was stamping to finish it up.

Now wasn't that easy? I didn't get really creative I just stuck with the basic tag as one was for a little boy and the other can be used for any birthday occasion. I just placed it in my stash. I really think that I am going to make a tag stash to go along with my card stash. Tags are something I always have to stop and make or they just don't get any. Yup, scraps will be great for this.
Along with my scrap paper I used the Card Chatter - Birthday stamp set and some Moonstruck ink from Close To My Heart.

This is what the tags looked like when they were completed. I love that the paper and ribbon were just scraps that I was able to put to use right away. Justin's tag is the one on the right. Just a simple tag that I can sign our names on that will go along with his gift. And the one on the left is the one that I am starting my stash with. I think I will start making my Christmas tags out of scraps that I have on hand now.... that sure will put me ahead of the game as you know we all use a ton of them for Christmas!

Here is a close up of the flowered tag....
I hope you enjoyed today's post and that I inspired you to look at your scraps in a new creative way.
Thank you for your sweet sweet words of encouragement. Your comments inspire me to continue sharing with you. Have a blessed day.
