Fun Ribbon Storage Idea

Hi Everyone - Michelle here from Lady of Leisure Ink.  I have been so busy recently with my kitchen remodel that I haven't been playing much in my craft room :(  The kitchen thing has taken about 12 weeks - blinds were put up on Tuesday, we had the air ducts cleaned yesterday morning and friends arrived from the UK to stay with us yesterday evening.  PHEW!

So I hope you won't mind that today is not actually a craft project but a little peek at the way I keep a particular supply in my craft room.  It's just the fun way I decided to store my ribbon.  I bought a couple of small wire dress forms from Hobby Lobby when they went on clearance, then I found a couple of bigger ones and bought those too.  I'm not really sure what I had planned to do with them beyond sitting them in my craft room to 'look pretty', but here is what I did.

I just love how they brighten up what would otherwise be a very plain area of my room.  I can have access to all the shorter lengths of ribbon, they just look too pretty to be hidden away in a drawer (I won't mention the other drawer full of spools of ribbon I have stashed away.)

Here is a close up so you can see how they are looped around the wires of the form.

When I need a particular color of ribbon I just take my project to the dress form and choose, it makes it so much simpler for me - not to mention every time I look over to the corner where they are it makes me smile.

Thanks Pam for having me over to play - until next time.

Michelle
