Here's my finished Carrot Box
I also wanted to share a tutorial of how to assemble this box with you, so I had to make a second one because it would have been too easy to remember to take pictures the first time around :). To make this box, I altered a DS .cut file I got HERE - which was also originally intended to be a beautiful Christmas icicle ornament! Here we go.... Here is what the .cut file looks like
Score all the sides
Cut off the top, half-circles and emboss
Adhere an 8"x4" (roughly) piece of crepe paper to the top edges
Assemble box by adhering the ends together
Fill with goodies, add some ribbon and a tag!
The tag I used is from Alphalicious - I used my Gypsy to play around with the size I wanted (Scalloped - .94"x1.52", oval - .72"x1.35"), and to hide the whole in the tag so that I could add it as an accent in the front instead of using it as a hanging tag from the ribbon. The sentiment stamp is from Papertrey Ink.
The crepe paper accent can be used on all sorts of boxes, baskets and bags to add an unique touch - not to mention it comes in all different colors! Be sure to buy them by the sheet, and not the rolls. My local Michael's and Hobby Lobby have no longer carry crepe paper, but you can find it online at a reasonable price.
I hope you enjoyed my Easter project and tutorial! Comments are greatly appreciated here at the Bug Bytes and at my blog TXScrapperMom.
