Hi! It’s Wini from LooneyBugDesigns, I am excited to show my Gypsy project with you today! First though I wanted to thank Pam for having me as a designer here on her blog – it is such an honor to be a member of her talented Gyptians!
My oldest is in 6th grade this year (how did she get so old?) and she has a few friends that she wants to give valentines to, but she doesn’t want to give those “Kiddie” boxed valentines. What is a mom to do? Break out the Gypsy of course! We love the way this cute (and so quick) valentine turned out – what do you think? I used the Gypsy exclusive Smiley Cards Cartridge for this project.
I started by laying all the elements out on my mat. To make the card base I took the XO shadow and copied it. I then copied the image and flipped it top to bottom. After I lined them up I welded them together to make the card base.
Here is my mat with my papers all laid out. I love that all the parts of this card are cut in one shot – so quick and easy.
After I cut everything out – I scored my card base using my Scor-Pal (my favorite scoring board) and assembled my card face.
Here is what the back of my card looks like completely assembled. Since welding the two shapes together sometimes cuts of part of the image – I usually make a card face (take the card base image and cut a separate single image that you will put your layers on) and put that on the base so that I have the complete cuts showing on the front.
Of course we need to add a little bling to the finished card so we put some Crystal Stickles over the accent pieces.
I hope you enjoyed my quick Valentines project today – be sure to stop back tomorrow to see another great project!

Soooooo cuuuuute! I'd love to receive that myself! Thanks for sharing!
I LOVE the cute XO card and the tip to flip it and make it so that it folds over its self. That's great to know!

A very cute Valentine that is definitely not too "gooey"!
