My First Gypsy Project

Hello Fellow Crafters and Friends,

This is Denine from PumpkinSpice, it is my pleasure and honor to be posted a little snippet on Pam's The Bug Bytes.

I have a layout today using the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge, my Gypsy and 'I Believe' paper from My Mind's Eye.

I left a lot of open space near the pictures for journaling.

I used my Gypsy to connect the words, year and base circle into one cut, then was able to copy and paste the words and year exactly the same to a second layout to cut just like the base, but without the circle.  I was pretty excited about that.  No guess work to get them the same for layering.  I also cut out some mats for the pictures.

This is a picture of the back of the base paper. I am a paper lover and didn't want to waste the pretty pattern behind the circle base, so on a 3rd layout, I copied the circle base, made them slightly smaller and cut out just the circle on the back side of the Layout page so I could utilize the patterend paper that was going to be hidden.  Silly I know, but I just love all the pretty paper.

Here is what the back looks like after assembling.  You could even use it as a layout base just as is.

It was late when I completed and took pictures so the picture quality is not to good.

I also inked the edges of the letters and numbers and the base circle to give it a little seperation.
Recipe:

Paper - MME - "I Believe" Winter Berries is the base paper

MME - "I Believe" Trees Glittered Paper is the layer paper

            Textrued cardstock for the circle

Embellishments - flower from garland used in decorating this year.

Tag and 'ribbon paper' - "I Believe" Glittered Cardstock Accessories Sheet

Ink - Black from G Studio and Moss Green from Versa, i think. (going on memory here.)

I have not done a layout for over a year... oh my goodness.  I think it is time to get back to scrapping.
Thank you for stopping by.  Hope you enjoyed.

Sorry posted so late, I have a sick little one and she needs my TLC.

  1. Lovely layout. Journalling is as important as the photo isn't it. Together they tell a story. Wise to leave lots of space for that. TFS

This LO sure looks better than my first one! hahaha
I like how the letters have the same paper as the
    matt on the pictures. :)

    Nice Job!
