I know some of the others had this problem too. But if you have the same problem can you post here with OS, antivirus details. Also if someone had a resolution to the problem please help
Here is what I have
operating system windows 7
antivirus - Norton 360
When I run cricut sync it seemed to run ok and updated to cricut 2.0.3.0. and gypsy 0206:0209 (i think)
I got the new cartridges(not talking about the 5 or 6 new cartridges here but the content update for hello thursday or friday or saturday :) )
But when I ran today the gypsy file shows up empty on cricut sync.I tried backing up - but folder is empty
The photos (files) show up but gypsy design files are empty.
It worked fine before and I was reading all the filenames!!
I did try reinstalling cricut sync and meticulously changed all filenames deleting spaces etc but that does not help.
Then I knew I had gypsy sync for download in my blog so I downloaded that to the new computer.
The gypsy sync when I installed on this new computer shows the files but cricut sync does not. Before the update cricut sync was fine.
As long as I have g sync I can manage but if that goes it will be difficult
I can load file from computer but when I reopen cricut sync it shows up empty
So no way can I back up file from gypsy from cricut sync.
I know I can manage for a while from cricut sync but this is not good.
Maybe the problem is norton 360 but I do not want to uninstall an antivirus problem and then why did it work before this version and not now? Yep problem. I have to work on this. I do have product key for norton but that should not be the solution should it?

If anyone has else has this problem please post here. Gosh I hate this cricut sync beta!!
I liked the good old gypsy sync!! See it has come to my rescue!!
I'm so sorry you're having this problem, and I wish I could help with this one; but I can't. I do know that I learned to disable my virus protection program a long time ago before installing or updating any programs/software because it can create many problems, so this may be the problem if you didn't do that. Sometimes it'll get you and sometimes not, but to be on the safe side, I always disable virus protection programs.
ReplyDeleteI hope someone gets back to you with a remedy! How frustrating this must be!!! I wish you good luck!
