Using the new Cricut sync for backing up and saving files

Wow! Didn't you just love Mrs. B's lovely gift bag. I loved the color So elegant!! I always learn a lot from the designer's .All the designer's here in Tuesday Treats , She's a Sassy Lady and also from other blogs as well like Everyday Cricut, Creative Critters. Think of it- they do not get much perks. My poor designer's don't get any. They are so big hearted that they share their gift with us. Just wanted to say Thank you. I appreciate and admire you all for your kindness.
Now I was asked this - using the dreaded Cricut Sync. And I approached it like I would a snake with a large pole. Well it looks like a garden snake now :) - after causing all the trouble these last few days. Still never know. Maybe it's just hidden it's rattles ;)

So here is the photo tutorial. The captions say it all.click on it to enlarge. Have fun.
Note the first time I did this when I went to set location it froze my computer. Ctrl alt del didn't even bring up the windows task manager. I just pulled the plug and the battery out and then started it again. So  if you have a poor old computer like mine - beware

set up location for back up

opens up your computer to store. Navigate to where you want to go.

I always make a folder which makes sense to me

Backing it up from File menu -> Backup Gypsy Data

To choose individual files just select file. For multiple files shift click or hold and drag till they go green.

Right click to get options

Generic message.

Opens up automatically the location as we set it before

Note the green bars to show they are being added/processed

The file on the location - snapshot

Now to load files from computer on to Gypsy.I chose the circle magazine files

And Add project - so project being added. Again note green bars. This time they will be on the G.

  2. Pam, Is this something I am to do each time we have a download? Like on Gypsy Sync, when we were to also back up the files. I"m sorry, I'm just not sure what all this means.

no sweetie. You can just save the new files individually too. just a safety precaution if things go wrong
