A gypsy update was due on Monday but I guess it is postponed now.
But facebook discussion page has released some notes.
.I am rather disappointed with what the update will hold. We cannot print or weld?. Boy am I glad that I have my expression and paper stack still. And now I have a sinking feeling that once they sell the Imagines they will slowly tell us that there is no way we can link the Imagine cartrides because of memory and in November release a new Gypsy. I sincerely hope not and they just have something which enhances our Gypsy. But if not then this time I will not be playing.
I just hope the Imagine which is hopefully arriving today or tomorrow will work. Else that's it. I will just think all the fond hopes I had for this machine was just that my Imagination!!
Ok here goes
Ok here goes
1. Edge to Edge printing (Imagine only update)
- Full bleed (may leave a small boarder on your paper depending on how well it is aligned)
- Overspray: this will print just beyond the edge of the paper leaving a bit of ink on your mat which can easily be rinsed out with warm water – this assures a full bleed.
PHASE 1 Gypsy/Imagine Compatibility
1. Allows you to cut your classic Cricut Cartridges with Cricut Imagine using Gypsy (no printing using Gypsy, yet)
2. Cricut Imagine and Gypsy bug fixes: this will be standard with most upgrades to ensure you have the best experience with your machines.
3. No special Gypsy design features with Imagine content (like welding, stretching, etc.), just yet.
More information will be released about future updates (release dates and update details) when appropriate

I am hoping that the new G won't come out until next year sometime, geez, the old one is barely a year old. Thanks for the info. Right now I feel dead in the water trying to move the images around my imagine mat. We can't do that without a G correct. Kinda disappointed with the imagine.
I have the Imagine, and we just have to wait for updates, being patient is not my finest point but Im not sending it back, I sold my E and now Im wishing I had not done that, so thinking about buying another one.
I have the create so that does help.
I think they should have had all the updates lined up and ready to go, but nothing I guess is ever easy, so we just have to sit back and wait, Im new to gypsy and so Im learning that as well, I love the Imagine so will not ever send it back just wait like everyone else for updates.
Well thats about it
Hugs

Thanks for all the update info and you honesty about the Imagine. I am still on the fence of purchasing one but thinking I will hold off for quite some time. It is starting to get overwhelming with all these new products and carts. Seems like for such a long time it took forever to get a release or two and now there is entirely too much to choose from. I am going to continue enjoying my Gypsy and Expression for now.
"kind encouraging and inspiring words"
I appreciate your comments so much. They are treasured and such an inspiration. Thanks for leaving them.
