Circle Cards/ATC cards

It's my turn at Sassy's.

Just doing a simple project today. Since I am going to Utah Swarm and we have to do circle cards I thought I would  do that.  You can adapt the same for ATC cards. Now the dimension for ATC (Artist Trading cards) are 3.5x3.5 inches but the cricut circle cards to mimic the scrapbook page scaled down is a square 3 inches by 3 inches. One tries to decorate these cards to capture a tiny bit of one's creative self as well introduce and  pass along a way to get in touch  with you.

You can make it simple or complicated. And that to me depends on the number of people we are giving it to. Now there are about 120 people in the swarm and as soon as I come back I have to make 50 more for the Houston swarm. So mine needs to be simple, efficient and because of the quantity - economical... 

Now efficient means yes - use gypsy and cricut. But this also means - No No welding. For welding will definitely slow down and hang the gypsy too.

I also wanted to show some painting. 

So here is what I did

I could have done the 3 x 3 card cut in the gypsy but then if I cut it with trimmer than I get 4 more so since I had a mat cutter I cut 3 sheets at a time. Then the zutter corner rounder also rounds corner 3 at a time as it can cut through tin..

After cutting it I used embossing folder - from that Asian collection

Now I wanted to put more info on some so to differentiate I inked just about 10

Then I used one Martha Stewart cartridge to cut the flower in white and then crumpled it and spray painted it with water color paint added inside mist bottle

And then for the butterflies. I used the Martha Stewart punch which has 3 stamps in it. You stamp and then punch. To save time I arranged all the 3 side by side and then stamped on both sides of the paper so that I can punch like assembly line production :)

Now I could have cut the butterflies too but choose butterflies with care then as cricut doesn't cut intricate cuts smaller than an inch. I wanted this butterfly less than an inch so this was perfect..

So then to add bling.. Now small ones for butterfly was ok but for center of the flower? Well Christmas tree decoration  beads come in handy and so economical!!

I printed the details using word making sure that each line comes within 2.5 inches and the number of lines are within that too. Then I cut them and here is my simple card. I have yet to glue many of them down but

I have yet to stamp my name and add a small 3/4 " photo

Just one more thing  I did not put that cardboard box for recycle. My neighbours and the trash collectors might get suspicious.. I am keeping it until I paint some other colors over this ..
