Robotz!!!
Hello Fellow Crafters,
I am Denine, from PumpkinSpice and I am very excited to be sharing a project on TheBugBytes as one of The Gyptians. Be sure to visit to take a peek at all the wonderful talent Pam has gathered together in this wonderful group of Designers. They are AMAZING..
Ok, onto my little project.
A simple Tri-Fold Card embellished with the Robotz Cartridge.
This is the card I am going to re-create.
(Had to do one first - you know the 'prototype' hehe)
Just noticed the date on the pictures.. sorry. New camera! (Birthday present from Hubby)
So I started with a tri-fold card that I had already layered with the 'Lil Robots' papers from My Mind's Eye - (so darn cute.)
Then decided on Robot 44
I used cuts from the base button and base button + shift
Also, Layer1 and Layer1 + shift
And Layer 2 (just the eyes)
And as and after thought.. Font and Font + shift and Font Shawdon
So, here are my pieces.
And here is how I assembled....
1st..
2nd
3rd
Please exuse the messy mat... My Pumpkin "LOVES" ink pads.. : )
4th - I layered onto the base
I wanted him to have a bit of dimension so I used some foam 'squares' (Office Max clearance)
Now he looks like he is ready for a football game.. hehe
Then I did the eyes and added some white ink over the foam 'squares'. This did 2 things, made them a little whiter but also eliminated the little bit of stickiness that was coming through from the back of the black center.
Oh and some faux stitching or doodling and instead of cutting a mouth, I penned it in along with the little ear marks.
And of course a little bling.. Stickles - gotta love them.
Ok.. so onto the card.
Inside I decided I wanted a pocket.
so I used a piece of scrap from the robot and made a 'pocket'
Note to self and those interested - 'make sure you score enough room for you 1/4 inch tape to fit.. lol
This is where I layered the Font cuts, oh and inked the edges.
Then I cut some tags from the PSB Cart.. love this staple cartridge.
And cut a robot from another sheet of the Lil Robots paper.
Here is the tag finished.
Ok, enough already.. HUH??!!
The finished Card.
Thanks for scrolling through all this. Hope you enjoyed. Please leave comments.. they make me smile!!
Have a GREAT WEEK!!

What a fantastic card! I like the tri-fold look. I will have to attempt to do one, but perhaps with a girly theme. Your tutorial is excellent!
