Gypsy Video - Reclaiming insides of some welded images in Gypsy

As many know if you weld in many images the insides disappear depending on the way the designer has designed it. Earlier you just had to cut another piece and place but now with the hide and contour feature in most images there is a way to get it back. This can be especially useful in the case of shape cards.  But it can work only on shapes where the insides are separate contours themselves - ie they are enclosed and not part of the contour. Though if they are part of the outline they do not disappear anyway and might mostly show up while welding. I have lately stopped making videos that much but when this was asked not once but twice  in the MB I promised them and so
Here is the video

Thanks for watching!!

  6. Well, Pam, that was helpful! I've never figured out how to paste from one layer to another so I'm hoping I figured that out from your video too! Thanks!

  10. Hi Pam
thanks for this info., I was so happy to have hide and contour finally. Last holiday season when I was making note cards as gifts for my childrens music teachers using piano and violin from "child's first year" it was such a pain to get what I wanted. Hide and contour would have made that so much easier. But this info will help getting the insides when you want them. I wish they would have group and lock and unlock so you could move things around and get them to stay together. Send back and bring forward, would be great also. Even if it was one layer at a time. I sometimes have a hard time getting to things when a layer I thought was on the bottom, and you try and select and only get that layer not what you think is on top. Well here's hoping they will include those in future updates.
Thanks for your videos. I was telling my husband there are so many smart women working on this stuff helping each other out, and doing a lot of work that provo craft hasn't. The joy and frustration of technology unite!
    Thanks again for your time.
