Yesterday we went hiking on a trail - Sam Houston Trail.
I wanted to go to Brazos bend for some photos of alligator but hubby was in a contrary mode and didn't want to pander to me at all . No photography class nor scrapbook support from him. But I grabbed my camera nevertheless and decided to explore anyway. First couple of shots were of cows in a nearby field and was surprised to find all the cows blue.Say what? Then I saw that when I had done the previous assignment I had set the light source to incandescent and it automatically added blue to it. It was so funny though.
I enjoyed the trek but obviously hubby didn't as I kept stopping and he kept losing me. Here is one shot of Mr. Grumpy when waiting for me to catch up. Of course I decided to take it in positive spirit and this is what I am going to name it. Talk about artistic license - ha ha
I love Robert Frost's poems and always wanted to use one in my scrapbook. So here is one. No snow in this forest and no horse either but guess the dogs would do?...
Here are couple more shots I took - some of the forest floor.
This one my son called as brain leaf and wanted a shot of it. I don't know what this plant is called but I hereby name it a brain leaf plant
A stump
A close up
Here is a clam like growth - lichens as one of my friends reminded me (thanks Dakota Bear) on a log of wood
And here is sky through the forest trees
And the forest floor - "The star of the forest"
These photos are awesome!!! You are doing very well in your photography class!
ReplyDeletePlease stop by my blog I have a little something for you! http://shesasassylady.blogspot.com
Very nice photos. What you called clams on the tree, we call them lichens. I love to take pictures when I'm out walking as a way of capturing the pleasures of the journey.
ReplyDeleteAnd I thought I was the only one who just adores mother nature!! So nice to see your photos, ohh...........the beauty in such simple things that we all take for granted! You made my day seeing this!
