Fathers Day Card.

Please pay no attention to the amount of pictures there are! This format was narrower than mine.  So they spread out more.   EEKS.  And my DH is a photographer and taught me to take lots to cover the event!   Ok.. on with the show.
I'm rambling.
And making excuses!

Woo Hoooo!  It's my turn to show what I did with my Gypsy. This is the most "complicated" Gypsy card/cuts I've made. I hope you enjoy it and that it's not to long. I don't know how to do a video and, sorry, but I don't know how to do the cut file to offer it but I did take a picture of the screen upon completion. So, I'll start with that.  (there should be a 3rd DAD on that screen!)

For the card itself I used Beyond Birthdays. I don't have the COM's :(... I chose a card that had a cut out.  Set the card size to 5 wide X 8.5 high.  So that it will fold and be 4 1/4 X 5.  A regular A2 envelope size. After setting the cursor size to the opening on the card size (a little bigger so it can welded) I then went to the main screen on BB and chose DAD in SHADOW option. Center it in the window and then weld these.

With the cursor still set at the same size go back to BB's main screen and get two more  DADs. One will be shadowed and the other is a regular cut.  (I don't know why the picture of the screen does not reflect the second DAD).   Hmmmm ... strange.

I used Going Places for the fishing boat. I cut it in three different colors. Light Brown, Med Brown and black. In that order so I could layer them.  Using the normal cut, then the layer cut and finally the blackout cut.  I had to cut the fishing line off on the black because it just made it to bulky looking.

Back on the Going Places screen where you got the boat, in the same square that the fishing boat is in... now select the SHIFT setting. Now there is some water in that square.  I cut two of these (one of them tore so I only used one but both could easily be used).  After choosing them I stretched them to 5" wide and 1" high.  I had to turn them of coarse to fit nicely on the mat.  Also cut one water in that same square in the blackout option to go behind the water cut.

I think that is all the cuts!  Now... that wasn't so hard was it!  hahahaha

Here is the layout of the papers and then putting them in the Cricut.

I've removed all the cuts.  You can see one of the waters tore.  :(                            

Next I like to lay everything out to 

be sure it's going to fit and look nice.  

A dry run of sorts.

do all of your distressing! 

Inclucing the card itself. Inside and out.

A Place for my Cards

This is the order in which I layered everything. For the DAD there are two layers of print. The first print is glued down and then the next is pop dotted. The first two fishermen are glued and then pop dotted onto the shadow. Then pop dotted on to the card. Be sure to put the background water down first.

I thought it was done at this point.

But I just couldn't leave it alone!

So I added a bit more..... dots, stitches, skittles...

As Jeanie says: bring elements from the 

outside to the inside.  I used the first layer

print paper to mat the note area.  The 

piece on the inside, on the top, is where the 

DAD was cut out and the shadow piece

showed thru.  I had used a dbl sided paper 

that had PINK! on the other side! 

Sooo... I just covered it up and now 

it shows this nice green on the OUTside 

thru the DAD!  :)  Happy accidents. 

I had so much fun doing this!
