End Cap features

This is one thing our Gypsy Mb member -  OhhhSnap - yes the very same - the oh so humorous helmet girl ( her blog - http://ohhhsnapper.blogspot.com/ ) says about endcaps and this is very important discovery so I had to have it on my log (ah feels so like star trek - captain's log day 14 on the Gypsy ... journey- wow!! -------shhhh be serious and continue!!!***^^^. sorry ok maa'm)

In Quotes
"Endcaps on the Gypsy can be tricky. Do not weld. In DS this actually can cause trouble. With the Gypsy as long as you don't weld, the only trouble you'll have is if you want to put a space in the endcap somewhere. The spaces don't cut if you are using the Gypsy.

If you want to put a space in an endcap cut, you are better off using your cart without the Gypsy. If you really want to use the Gypsy for an endcap cut, instead of a regular space, use a decorative element. In the Mickey Endcap feature I used mouse ears instead of spaces. "

So do not weld an endcap and be creative if you want to add spaces. Thanks dear for this discovery.
Edited: She so sweetly has sent me this link (look in the comments) which will give you a better visual. Thank you so much dear. Here is the link - http://ohhhsnapper.blogspot.com/2010_01_09_archive.html

  1. Live Long and Prosper lol. (I taught DD to make the LL&P sign when she was 2 BTW). I posted a fast and dirty scan of what happens when you try to cut an endcap space with the Gypsy compared to cutting it straight from the cart.

BTW no word from PC as to why the Gypsy can't cut spaces in endcap fonts, perhaps if we all pipe up it will be looked at : ).
